Pork belly Burnt Ends
About this Recipe
Pork Belly Burnt Ends are one of our favorite bites in BBQ. Everyone loves a tender, saucy, smoky, sweet bite of pure awesomeness…
- 2 Pounds skin off pork belly cut into 1-inch cubes
- Flavored by Fire Original Seasoning
- BBQ sauce of your choice
Step 1
Prepare the pork belly by removing it from its packaging, taking off any skin and then cutting the belly into 1 inch cubes.
Step 2
Apply our Flavored by Fire Original Rub (or if you’re in the mood for some spice you could use our spicy rub as well) liberally to the pork belly cubes, make sure to coat all sides.
Step 3
Fire up your smoker to 275 degrees with the wood of our choice (we prefer hickory, but oak, cherry, or pecan would also work great!)
Step 4
Space your pork belly cubes out so that they aren’t touching one another and smoke till they reach an internal temperature of around 200 degrees. If the surface of your burnt ends ever becomes too dry for your liking during the cook we would recommend spritzing with a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and apple juice.
Step 5
Once your Pork Belly Burnt Ends have reached an internal temperature of 200 degrees, toss them in your favorite bbq sauce and then smoke them for an additional 15 minutes to allow the bbq sauce to caramelize. Once the sauce is carmalized to your liking cool to an edible temperature and ENJOY!
